Embracing Persian Heritage Holidays
We are thrilled to invite you to a spectacular event that promises to bring the rich history and traditions of Iran to life—the Yalda Night Celebration. This special day, dedicated to preserving our Persian heritage, will take place on December 17th at the exquisite Paradox Hotel in Vancouver from 11 am to 8 pm.
Yalda, the last night of autumn, holds great significance in Iranian culture, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. It is a time-honored tradition to gather with loved ones, share stories, and celebrate the warmth of togetherness. This year, we are excited to open our doors to the wider community, welcoming everyone to join us in this cultural extravaganza.
Highlights of the Yalda Family Festival:
Interactive Workshops: Engage children in hands-on activities like fabric collage, sewing, cupcake decorating, papier-mâché, and Yalda Korsi with captivating stories.
On the Stage: Enjoy nostalgic children's musical pieces by professional musicians, dance performances, interactive storytelling, and programs featuring poetry and short tales from Shahnameh.
Entertainment for All Ages: With diverse musical performances, dance shows, interactive storytelling, and acts, the festival ensures enjoyment for every family member.
Culinary Delights: Indulge in a feast of delicious food provided by the hotel, enhancing the sensory experience associated with the warmth of the festival. (Note: Outside food is not permitted.)
Community Bonding: Beyond an event, Yalda Festival fosters community unity, offering families an opportunity to strengthen bonds and create lasting cultural memories. The celebration is designed to instil a sense of pride and unity within the community.
